Hi :) First I looked at flights from the nearest airport (Bristol) and chose some dates which had good flight times - we fly on the Saturday morning and land on the Tuesday night so we get a good amount of time on both days. Then I looked on TripAdvisor and spoke to a few people about hotels, thought about it for a few days, and then booked one near the Eiffel Tower. We’ve got some vague plans for our time there, like the Moulin Rouge, but I think a lot of what we will do will be based on the weather and what we find whilst we’re there :) 

My tips would be don’t book anything on a whim, research hotels (you don’t want to end up in a dive!) and familiarise yourself with the city map and a metro map. This will be my 4th time in Paris so I’ve got a vague memory of where things are so we won’t waste time getting lost!
